Software for the study, not a substitute for the engineer.
TechPHA is AI-assisted process hazard analysis for the people who sign off on it. It takes the transcription work out of the front of a HAZOP and leaves the judgement exactly where it belongs.
A hazard and operability study is slow in a specific and predictable way. Before anyone discusses a single deviation, someone has to read the P&IDs, list the equipment, trace the lines, find the instruments and note which protective devices already exist. That work is essential, it is largely mechanical, and it consumes a disproportionate share of the schedule.
TechPHA takes that part on. You upload your process drawings, the system extracts what is on them, and the study begins from a structured set of nodes, tags and candidate safeguards rather than an empty template. From there it proposes deviations, causes, consequences and recommendations for the team to work through.
What it does not do is decide. Every proposal is presented as a proposal, and the engineer accepts, modifies or rejects it. That distinction is the whole design.
What we believe
The engineer stays accountable
A HAZOP is a judgement exercise carried out by competent people. TechPHA never closes out a finding on its own. Everything the AI produces arrives as a proposal, tagged with its confidence and marked as awaiting review, and it only becomes part of the study when an engineer accepts it.
The P&ID is the starting point
Most of the effort at the front of a study goes into reading drawings and transcribing what is on them. That is the part worth automating. TechPHA reads the drawing, extracts equipment, instruments, valves, lines and candidate safeguards, and hands the engineer a structured starting point instead of a blank worksheet.
Every finding keeps its evidence
A study is only as good as the record behind it. Each entry carries where it came from, what the AI proposed, what the engineer changed and who approved it, so the trail from drawing to recommendation stays intact through review and into the report.
It reads as engineering software
Process safety work is governed, audited and long-lived. TechPHA is built to sit inside that reality: your own risk criteria, your own node structure, conventional HAZOP and LOPA worksheets, and reports in the formats your organisation already issues.
